Safety Co-ordination
It is the mission of Lincsafe (Health & Safety) Limited to provide a CDM Co-ordinator service which:
- Applies reasoned interpretation of the CDM Regulations and other related Health and Safety legislation appropriate to the type, complexity and circumstances of a given project.
- Develops core competencies in staff, helping them develop and obtain appropriate levels of training and qualifications.
- Keeps abreast of all the requirements of current CDM and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Establishes a level of professional impartiality and independence from the other duty holders, particularly where some of these functions are carried out by the same organisation.
- Challenges the status quo in construction technique and design ideas to improve standards in construction Health and Safety.
- Maintains flexibility in the Design and Construction process and avoid inappropriate (i.e. over bureaucratic) responses.
- Adds value to the project through improved management of risk.
CDM Co-ordination is a company service, in that the company is the ‘Co-ordinator’ but an identified person within the company will be responsible for the management of the service.
